Giving the Suicide Squad comic storyline a second try, DC Comics is releasing a rebooted version, with James Gunn (Guardians Of The Galaxy) at the helm.

The film features Margot Robbie, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney, all reprising their roles as Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, Rick Flag, and Captain Boomerang, respectively. With the return of these old faces however, comes the arrival of new ones.

Newcomers include Idris Elba as Bloodsport, Sylvester Stallone as King Shark, John Cena as Peacemaker, Nathan Fillion T.D.K, and many more.

The huge demand for Gunn’s vision of the film was apparent, as an initial red-band trailer shattered records, making it the most viewed red-band trailer ever released. This record had previously been held by Mortal Kombat a little over a month before.

The film, rated R, is expected to release on August 6th, in theatres, and HBO Max.
